The ever-increasing market value of precious metals has led to a dramatic increase in the opportunist theft of catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters from commercial vehicles. Replacements can cost up to £2000, not to mention the downtime, inconvenience and potential loss of business to owner drivers and fleet operators.

Catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters can be stolen using the very simplest of tools and it typically takes less than 60 seconds! When ArmaCat is installed, the thief is presented with a formidable barrier which can only be overcome with special tools and takes a considerable amount of time, effort and noise disturbance.

ArmaCat works by encasing the catalytic converter or diesel particulate filter in a clamp - manufactured to ISO9001 from 304 grade, brush finished stainless steel for high strength and rust-free durability, ArmaCat makes use of an ultra strong 8mm diameter (7 x 19) stainless steel cable with stainless steel eyelets and a high temperature PVC sleeve to tether the device to the vehicle chassis. Security is further enhanced by the use of high-strength dome head bolts and tamperproof shear-nuts. On some models, an additional manifold security bolt is also provided.

PLEASE NOTE: ArmaCat has been tested by a major vehicle manufacturer for its security features as well as for the correct levels of heat dissipation. Catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters operate at extremely high temperatures and if the heat is not able to escape at the required rate, damage can occur to the components. ArmaCat has been fully tested to comply with vehicle manufacturer guidelines and is unique in this respect.

ArmaCat is unique in that it is tailor-made to fit each specific make and model of vehicle so it 'grips' the cat all the way around the circumference (unlike a universal device where one size fits all).
